AG Financial Solutions

Jerry Sparks is the president of AG Financial Insurance Solutions. A St. Louis native, Jerry graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in Political Science. He began working in the insurance industry in 1977. Jerry came to work for the Assemblies of God full-time in 2007, however he has been instrumental in the insurance division since its beginning in 2003. Jerry came to us from Arthur J. Gallagher Company-the third largest insurance broker in the United States. He was a member of the Religious Practices Group and served as Division President at Gallagher. Jerry works with all types of commercial insurance business with an expertise relating to religious and non-profit business. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1986 and his Certified Risk Manager designation in 2004. Jerry is also a long standing member of the Missouri Independent Insurance Agents Association.

Jerry, his wife Carolyn, and their daughter Nicole make their home in Strafford, MO. They are active members of James River Assembly, where they serve in various capacities.

Eric Huie, currently serves as the risk manager for AG Financial Insurance Solutions. A Montana native, he is a graduate of Evangel University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. Prior to joining AG Financial Insurance Solutions, Eric had been with AG Financial Solutions since 2003, serving most of his tenure as a retirement specialist with Ministers Benefit Association (MBA). He is a credentialed minister and has extensive firsthand experience in church business as a consultant, administrator and pastor. Eric currently holds his Series 63 and 65 securities licenses and has completed his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. He will soon complete his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation.

Eric is actively involved in the ministries of King’s Chapel in Springfield, MO with his wife and 2 daughters.

As an account executive, Colleen feels blessed to be able to service churches and ministries with their insurance needs and also to serve as agent for a several local businesses. She has been in commercial insurance since 1993 and joined AG Financial Insurance Solutions in August of 2005.

In 2003, she earned her certified insurance service representative (CISR) designation and is currently working on her certified insurance counselor (CIC) designation.

Colleen and her husband, Jerry, have three sons, Logan, Derek and Tyler, 3 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. They are both active at their church, Calvary Temple, Springfield, Missouri.

Kim serves as an underwriter the Assemblies of God Program with Church Mutual. Kim is a 2003 graduate of Missouri State University where she earned a B.A. in Business Administration. She has been an employee of AG Financial Insurance Solutions since June, 2004. Since joining the insurance team, her experience has spanned the areas of claims handling, accounting, customer service work and underwriting. In November 2007, she obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.

Kim enjoys spending time with her two young children, Charlie and Madison. Whenever she is not busy chasing after her children, Kim enjoys traveling, sports and spending time outdoors.

Roberta Hammerbacher has been in the insurance industry since 1979 and is currently the AG Financial Insurance Solutions office manager and senior underwriter of the AG Program through Church Mutual Insurance Company. Roberta also holds her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Roberta began her insurance career with Nationwide Insurance in the home office in Columbus, OH, where she held various positions, including Management, Analyst, Underwriting and Claims Adjusting. She moved to the Springfield, MO area in 1992 and worked for PJC Insurance for 11 years in Sales and was the Wholesale Underwriter of a Nationwide Trucking Program. Prior AG Financial Insurance Solutions she was employed by Arthur J. Gallagher as an Account Executive, Professional Standards Coordinator and the Supervisor of the Personal Lines and Small Commercial Department.

Roberta enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and her two grown children, Billy and Kari. She also loves to watch her daughter Kari play volleyball for Missouri Southern State University (MSSU).

Casey Maples serves as an account executive and administrative assistant for agency president, Jerry Sparks. She has 10 years of experience working in commercial insurance. Casey holds her property and casualty license as well as a certified insurance service representative (CISR) designation. She joined AG Financial Insurance in January of 2008.

Casey and her husband, Mark, have two children, Josh and Hailey. They attend Hope Community Church where they are active in leadership and children’s ministry.

Nikki serves as an account executive and marketing coordinator for AG Financial Insurance Solutions. Nikki has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Systems Technology and is in her senior year at Evangel University pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Nikki has been in the insurance industry for 6 years and holds a Missouri insurance license in life, accident and health, as well as property and casualty. She has been employed with AG Financial Insurance Solutions since December of 2004. She currently serves ministers, missionaries, and other individuals with their group term life, individual life, and/or personal lines insurance questions and coverages.

Nikki loves being involved with her church. She has a heart for missions and has served as a stateside advocate for a missionary family serving in Brazil. She hopes short-term missions will be in her future when she graduates from Evangel University. When she has free time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

As a senior account executive, Miriam is committed to servicing the insurance needs of the Assemblies of God. Employed by AG Financial Insurance Solutions since 2005, Miriam’s focus is working with churches to ensure their insurance and risk management needs are properly addressed.

Miriam is a graduate of Western Seminary with a master of divinity degree. She currently resides in Sacramento, CA.

Mandy serves as assistant account executive and helps to service churches in California, Nevada, and Oregon. She joined AG Financial Insurance Solutions in October 2007. She holds her certified insurance service representative (CISR) designation, a license in property and casualty insurance as well as life and health insurance.

She and her husband, Rob, are active with their local church working with both the youth group and young adult ministry.

Sharon began working in the insurance industry in 1969. Most of her career has been spent working with commercial insurance property and casualty, specializing in handling large commercial accounts. Sharon earned her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992. She has worked for AG Financial Insurance Solutions since 2004 and holds the position of Account Executive.

A native of Kansas, she and her family moved to Springfield, MO in 1986. She has one son and two grandchildren. Sharon and with her husband, Tom, are involved in working for the Lord in their local church and in the Gideon ministry.

Kevin Townsend serves as a producer with AG Financial Insurance Solutions. Kevin attended Evangel University prior to graduating from Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree in risk management and insurance.

Kevin has worked in the insurance industry since 2003. He has previously worked as a risk consultant with Federated Mutual Insurance and as a claims adjuster with Shelter Mutual Insurance. Kevin is currently pursuing his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. Kevin specializes in writing church business and non-profit business.

Kevin, his wife, Amy, and children – Jackson and Norah, are actively involved with James River Assembly in Ozark, Missouri. They volunteer in the Early Childhood Department.

Gina Turner serves as the group benefits manager for AG Financial Insurance Solutions. At this time she manages group term life insurance accounts for ministers, missionaries and ministry employees. Gina has spent her working career — which started in 1974 — with the Assemblies of God. She began with eight years of service in Assemblies of God World Missions. After working in a few different departments, Gina found her home in insurance and transitioned from General Council to AG Financial Insurance Solutions. Gina’s position offers her daily opportunities to fulfill her passion to minister to those who have committed their life to God’s work.

Gina, and her husband, Alan, have been married 33 years. They have two married daughters. Gina enjoys walking for exercise, working in her garden and flowers, vacationing on the beach and spending time with family. She and her husband are also very involved with the youth in their church.
