Robert CooleyRobert Cooley

Dr. Robert E. Cooley served as the second president of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts from 1981 to 1997.  Born in Michigan, Dr. Cooley has established himself with an unusually broad background of training and experience.  He completed the Bachelor of Arts degree in biblical studies and archaeology at Wheaton College, Illinois, and the Master of Arts degree in religious education at Wheaton Graduate School.  Dr. Cooley then earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Hebrew Studies and Near Eastern Archaeology at New York University. 

Dr. Cooley has served both as a professor and an administrator at a number of institutions, ranging from assistant to the president at Dropsie University in Philadelphia to professor of anthropology and religious studies and director of the Center for Archaeological Research at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.  Dr. Cooley is recognized widely for his research and writing in the field of archaeology and has overseen a number of excavation projects in the USA, Palestine, and Egypt.  In addition to his excavation activities, Dr. Cooley has directed more than 70 study trips throughout the Middle East.  As a working scholar, he has been active in a variety of professional societies, in numerous public, community and state civic activities, and served Christianity Today as a Senior Editor.  Dr. Cooley is the past president of The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada; and, has served on boards of trustees at European and American institutions. 

He lives with his wife, Eileen, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Their son, Jerry, and his wife, Amy are medical doctors in Charlotte.  They have two grandchildren, Emma and Ethan.

Dick FothDick Foth

Pastoral Leadership

Dick, a member of the pastoral teaching team at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, CO, helps to mentor the pastoral staff and works throughout the city with the larger leadership community.

Through the years, the themes of relationship building and reconciliation have become central to Dick’s speaking and writing. Invitations to speak on those topics have taken Dick across many denominations and cultures.

His background includes a pastorate in Illinois (1966-1978), president of Bethany College, California (1978-1992) and in the spring of 1993, he served as minister-in-residence at Gordon-Conwell Seminary, South Hamilton, MA. The Foths moved to Washington, DC in August of 1993 to work in man-to-man discipling and the Prayer Breakfast Movement, nationally and internationally.

Dick married Ruth Blakeley of Modesto, CA in 1963. They have four adult children, three daughters and a son.

James C. Soft is President of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation in Billings, Montana.  Jim has over 35 years of experience in the charitable sector, most of which has been spent working with donors and institutions in planned giving development.  He is a Certified Financial Planner® and holds a Masters in Personal Finance from the College of Financial Planning.  Jim is the principal of James C. Soft and Associates, offering planned giving consultation and mentoring for charities with new or established planned giving programs

Jim Soft is a current board member of the American Council on Gift Annuities and also director on the board of the Montana Nonprofit Association.  Jim is a contributing author to “Building Endowments Right from the Start” by Lynda Moerschbaecher, J.D., M.B.A., and is a member of a national ad hoc group working toward extending and enhancing charitable IRA incentive legislation.

Don Headlee

Donald M. Headlee serves AG Financial Solutions (AGFS) as executive vice president and chief business development officer. He oversees the asset gathering and investment activities of AGFS which includes planned giving, business development and retirement planning. The Customer Care department is also under Don’s direction.

A graduate of Evangel University, Don previously served as vice president of First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Greene County, headquartered in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. He began at First Federal in 1984 as a loan officer and was ultimately responsible for marketing, human resources and product development and implementation.

Don and his wife, Kalissa, have two children. They live in Ozark, Missouri and are active members at James River Assembly.

Bob Lamb

Senior Vice President, Planned Giving & Investments

Bob Lamb serves AG Financial Solutions as senior vice president of planned giving and investments. Prior to joining AG Financial Solutions, Bob spent 3 years with Steward Capital Advisors, an investment firm established by AG Financial to offer faith-based wealth management solutions and the Steward family of faith-based funds. Bob is committed to serving the Assemblies of God fellowship with their investment, retirement, and planned giving needs.

Bob graduated from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, with a bachelor of science degree, and began his career with American Express Financial Advisors, where he received in-depth training in financial planning. He went on to start a successful financial planning practice in northwest Nebraska, developing an expertise in comprehensive financial planning and portfolio management. Bob currently holds his Series 63, 65, and 7 securities licenses and has completed his Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP).

Bob and his wife, Kaci, live in Nixa, Missouri. They have two children, Darian and Brayden. The Lambs attend a local church where they are active in a variety of ministries.

Billy Hunt

Billy Hunt began his legal career in 1984 in private practice in Newport News, Virginia, focusing primarily on estate planning, real estate, construction law, and small-to mid-sized corporations. He then provided legal services for the planned giving department of the Christian Broadcasting Network as a staff attorney, acting legal director, and acting national director from 1991 to 1995 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He arrived in Springfield, Missouri, in 1996 to work for AG Financial Solutions, where he currently offers his expertise providing charitable giving advice and trust, fiduciary, and real estate services to affiliated organizations and member constituents.

Billy earned a bachelor of arts in history from Christopher Newport College in Newport News, Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Billy and his wife, Patty, live in Springfield with their three children, Joshua, Jennifer, and Katherine.

John Vaughan

Planned Giving Attorney

John N. Vaughan is the Planned Giving Attorney for AG Financial Solutions. He attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, graduating in 1997 and joining the Missouri bar shortly thereafter. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for Judge William F. Mauer of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, and thereafter practiced in the area of commercial litigation at the Lowther Johnson Law Firm in Springfield, Missouri, before joining AG Financial Solutions in the fall of 2000.

He initially managed the Testamentary Services division of AG Financial Solutions, overseeing coordination and management of the Stewardship Will program that prepares documents for constituents who desire to bless ministry through estate gifts. Mr. Vaughan now serves as Planned Giving Attorney. In that capacity, he focuses on estate planning and planned giving documents and processes, coordinating with the planned giving consultants, the customer care and trust officer team, and the accounting, real estate, and estate services offices as gifts move from the proposal phase all the way through to final distribution to ministries and beneficiaries.

Mr. Vaughan lives in Ozark, Missouri, and is the husband of Amy and father to three boys and a girl, ages 9, 6, 4, and 2. For the last eight years, he has served as an elder at Fellowship Bible Church of the Ozarks, currently serving as chairman of the elder board. He is an avid coffee drinker and homeroaster and can talk about coffee in as much depth and detail as he can discuss the nuances of the law.
