MBA 403(b)
403(b) Compliance Documents
MBA makes 403(b) compliance easy!
Click here to access MBA's Plan document. This becomes part of your plan. You will need to complete one of the templates below to define eligibility, benefits, and compensation for your ministry employees.
The document links will guide you in completing your 403(b) written plan document to be in compliance with the new IRS regulations. The written plan must be in place by January 1, 2009.
Click here to see information on an extended deadline for completing the 403(b) written plan requirement.
The templates will give guidance in defining eligibility, participation and contribution amounts. Completion of the documents along with the adoption of MBA’s plan document (and other service providers’ requirements in a multiple vendor situation) will help provide the material provisions* needed to meet regulation compliance.
The Service Agreement is used to identify the roles and responsibilities of the employer and MBA. The Service Agreement, is mandatory as it also serves as an adoption agreement. Without the agreement the employer is solely responsible for compliance for all 403(b) administrative and regulatory issues. Additionally, with an MBA exclusive written plan and agreement, MBA will be responsible for administration of hardship distributions and plan loans. The Service Agreement is provided as a ministry by MBA at no cost to you.
