On June 26 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a constitutional right, effectively negating state bans against it. The ruling has sparked a flood of speculation as to its effect upon churches and ministries going forward.
Although it's too early to predict all potential outcomes, Richard Hammar, legal counsel for the Assemblies of God, and Jerry Sparks, president of AGFinancial Insurance Solutions, sat down last week to discuss this historic ruling and its anticipated impact to churches.
